Gradient Nails

Hey guys! I found this old picture of my nails and I thought this could be an inspiration. The gradient nail is still hot, so be sure to try it out sometimes.

  1. I am amazed at the joy that you find in painting your nails. I don’t know whether to call it an obsession or a fetish or just a fun hobby which doesn’t cost that much. Your natural nails are my favorite and you can improve the chipping problem with better nutrition and eating as much varied certified organic food as you can afford including some cartilage and gelatin.Too much nail polish remover dries out the nail and may also be a slight contributor to your nail chipping.Best wishes. 2. I just bought a bunch of sponges so hopefully I will be giving it a go soon! Looks great by the way!

These look beautiful! Wish I could do the same! (clumsy fingers)

    • Thank you! You can do this too, just keep trying! I’m super clumsy so πŸ™‚

  5. I cannot do this because I am nail polish challenged but this is so lovely. I am loving the gradient and ombre nail trend.

  6. wow, lovely colors πŸ™‚

    What a lovely nail polished…

  8. Beautiful! I did a very similar look on my blog not too long ago!

  9. i love the nails

  10. Please share how you did it. xx

    • I first put on 2 layers of the light blue color. Then I put on the darker shade of blue, first half my nail, then less, etc.. This worked because the nail polishes I used are very watery. If this doesn’t work I do it with a foundation sponge.

Now those are some good looking nails. If I could stand to have my nails done I’d wear them like that. unfortunately, me and nail polish have never gotten along. Thanks for liking my blog!

  12. That is so beautiful…I wish that I could do my nails like yours or at all as I am DIY nails challenged…although my eleven year old daughter is amazing…totally self taught…also love the fish tail braid

  13. Hi,
I want to give ombre nails a go too! Looks easy, not sure if it is! Haha but sure looks very cute!
P’s.thanks for dropping by my blog: )

    • Thank you! You should definitely go for it, it’s not that hard and people give a lot of compliments πŸ˜‰

      • Must you use a white polish as base, if so, is there one you can recommend? πŸ™‚ thanks!

      • I don’t use a white polish as a base, I just use a clear base coat underneath and then as a base I just use one of the two colors πŸ™‚

  18. I love the way that looks, I really want to get it done at least once. I think I will put it on my summer wish list. :0) Thanks for sharing!

  19. πŸ™‚ this is the next style i want to try out.. could you explain how it is done? πŸ™‚

    • I already explained it in one of my comments on this post, but here you go. πŸ˜‰
I first put on 2 layers of the light blue color. Then I put on the darker shade of blue, first half my nail, then less, etc.. This worked because the nail polishes I used are very watery. If this doesn’t work I do it with a foundation sponge. With a sponge I just ‘sponge’ the second color on the tip of my nails until I think it looks good.
